After the exhibition in summer 2014, there was no more open-air art in Villa Flora Park. Now, starting this Saturday, art can once again be experienced in the park.
Life is returning to Villa Flora Park. The organizing committee for Art in the Park, including Ursula Altenbach, Astrid Camenzind, Renato Pisani, and Marzell Camenzind, together with Denise Gerth from Gersau Tourism, has realized the exhibition “Gersau Enchants the Park.” In recent years, the summer revival of the park with artworks had faded. The well-remembered exhibition “Soap Tree and Cloud Bread,” curated by Mischa Camenzind in summer 2013, remains vivid. After that, there was only one more.
Vernissage with live art action
16 artists and creatives from Gersau, including residents of the “Rosenpark” and Astrid Camenzind together with children from Gersau, specially designed and created sculptures and installations for the corners and nooks of the idyllic park.
On Saturday, June 16th, starting at 4 p.m., a live art event will celebrate the opening reception. There will be music and a children’s program with face painting, so both young and old can be enchanted while strolling through the park. The exhibition lasts until the end of September.
